Today, I was happy.
Today was the LAST day of Cross Country Tryouts. There was only one more person trying out, and he is a good friend of mine. Hopefully he makes it onto the team! Anyways, we did our regular warm-up, then we ran a mile as fast as possible. On my first mile, I actually did really well, I think I got a time of around 8' 34" or something like that. For my second one, my side was hurting, so I ran it in 9' 57". At least I ran it in under 10 minutes. Then, we ran one more cooldown jog lap, then a cooldown stretch. Tomorrow the roster is going to be released, and I'm really hoping that I make it onto the Varsity team!
Today I also checked the status of our recruitment efforts. I'd say they're going somewhat well. We have around 12 or 13 applicants, and most of the ones that need a recommendation have one already. There was some minor confusion regarding the application process, but I've sent some emails to help the applicants to fix the issues. Hopefully LionBot Robotics will be bigger and better than last year!
