February 7th: Luka's Birthday and Robotics Meeting

Today was good.

Happy Birthday Luka! May your year be prosperous and awesome!

In today's robotics meeting, the electrical team finished creating new batteries! Awesome! These are the first batteries we've created since the revival of the team. I'm happy we have more batteries now! It was a rather momentous occasion.

The engineering team cut wood outside and installed the new intake system.

For the programming team, we tested the gyroscope, and it worked pretty well! There was a bit of drift but the readings actually make sense, so that's great! We also cleaned up our Trello board a lot more, so hopefully we will be less disorganized! We also worked more on the odometry of the robot, including using the encoder and gyroscope together for an estimation of the robot location.

Overall, today was pretty productive.
