Today was informative, but a bit tiring.
After a night with minimal sleep, I woke up early to get to UCLA in time for New Bruin Day. My auntie and I first went to the admissions tent to pick up a schedule and map, then we went on a shopping spree for UCLA merch.
After we dropped off the merch at the car, we went back for the University Welcome. After that, we attended a small part of the financial aid presentation, before getting some pretzels and boba.
When we were satisfied and rested, we went on a guided tour around campus, where I got to learn more about where buildings were on campus.
When the tour was over, my auntie left me to go to the UCLA Engineering Discovery (fair?) event, but I found it too busy. So, I went to the housing presentation, which was actually pretty informative and useful in my consideration. When it was over, I took a short break for some sushi, and I went back to the UCLA Engineering Discovery (fair?) event. Unfortunately, it was near the end of the day that I realized that to make the best decision for me, I should've been speaking with current students. Fortunately, I met Sana, Shrika, and Professor Smallburg, who gave me a run down of UCLA vs UC Berkeley, life at UCLA, and the curriculum. Thank you!
After I got picked up, my family and I, along with the family friends from yesterday, went to eat dinner. Once again, it was Chinese food. Hopefully I get to experience some different cuisine tomorrow at Universal Studios!
