Today was pretty fun!
My aunt, baby nephew, and I went to Universal Studios Hollywood today. It was the first time I had gone since I was 6, so it was basically a new experience for me.
Today, I had the opportunity to sleep in a bit more, though I was only awoken by my baby nephew. We got some dim sum in the morning, then we were at Universal at around 12PM. I first started in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, where I rode Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. It was a nice way to start the day; the ride wasn't too exciting, but still fun, and I felt nostalgia watching Harry Potter and gang with their antics. Afterwards, I rode Flight of the Hippogriff, which I think is the only conventional rollercoaster I rode today. It was quite thrilling.
Afterwards, I tried butterbeer for the first time. I found it pretty sweet and pretty close to just straight brown sugar. Maybe not something I'd drink always, but while walking around a theme park, was a bit refreshing.
Then, we went on the studio tour. At first, I wasn't too sure I wanted to go on it, but after getting on, it was very entertaining and exciting! I got splashed by one of the scenes on the tram. I also got to learn a lot about visual effects and see them.
Afterwards, I rode the Simpsons ride. I was a bit disappointed though, as it wasn't as thrilling, but it was still entertaining. After, I got a corndog from the Wicked restaurant, which was pretty good. Every corndog I've had in my life prior to eating this one was soggy and not very good. However, this one was actually crispy, which was a very pleasant surprise. I was genuinely really shocked and I loved eating my corn dog.
When I was done eating, I went to buy some merchandise for my friends. I was really shocked about the price! After, we went to see a Water World show, which was really cool to see! The visual effects were really entertaining, and the actors did an amazing job.
Finally, I went to Minion Land and experienced the Minion Mayhem attraction. Afterwards, we got dinner at Vivo on the City Walk, which was the first food that isn't Chinese I've had on this entire trip so far. It was really delicious and I enjoyed the variation it brought to me. It was a good way to wrap up my time at Universal.
When I got back to my hotel, I got into the pool. It's been a while since I have last been in water.Â
