Today was entertaining!
In the morning, we ate the hotel breakfast. It was the first time in a while that I've had an American breakfast; I savored it. I had a Swiss cheese and egg English muffin, some bacon, scrambled eggs, toast, and some tiny muffins.
After, we went to Universal again. Yesterday, we stayed on the upper lot, so today, we went down to the lower lot. I first rode Jurassic Park - The Ride. It was really exciting and entertaining and there were many loud dinosaurs. The drop at the end was really thrilling! I really appreciated the blend of both thematic elements, like moving dinosaurs, as well as a physically thrilling experience.
My baby nephew played in the Dino Play nearby while I went on my next ride, Revenge of the Mummy. It tried to be scary, but I still had lots of fun. I should've rode it again. I had an interesting reaction when we were shot forward into the dark. Yesterday I complained how some of the attractions weren't really thrilling, but I found today to have a lot more fun rides.
Then, after we collected everyone, we went to Super Nintendo World, which was a real feast for the eyes! Everything was themed and Mario looking and it was very colorful! I got onto Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge. I thought that the augmented reality goggles were really cool and were a key part to the attraction. I liked how it was interactive as well. I'm also happy that I won and got the most points in my ride :)
After, we went to Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. for lunch. I had a Shrimp Po Boy, which was pretty good. We also had some clam chowder and garlic bread as an appetizer. It was all very delicious.
Then, we went to the Silly Swirly Ride in Minion Land. I rode it first and I thought it was really tame, but my baby nephew had a really good time on it, despite having to wait so long. While the were riding it, I had my own excursion around the park.
Finally, I saw the Kung-Fu Panda Adventure. It was truly an experience and show of technology. I really appreciated the 60hz projectors they were using, because animation normally isn't shown in such a high frame rate. The seats made the experience a bit more exciting and immersive, but I found the lights, display, audio, and wind to really add to the experience.
When we were all done with the available attractions in Universal Studios, we went to Mama Hong's Vietnamese Kitchen. The food was so good I forgot to take a picture until I was almost done with my food! I had the Thang Long Fish with Vermicelli, which was really good. Not too heavy, a bit light, strong yet subtle and present flavors.
Now, I am working in the hotel lobby.Â
