August 25th: GBO Orientation Day 5 (Last)

Today was OK.

I overslept in the morning. I had an alarm set for 8AM, but after putting it off, I just went back to sleep until 9. Fortunately, I got out of bed early enough to meet my advisor, but I missed the welcome ceremony that started at 9.

My advisor seems really cool and she showed us a lot of resources available to us on campus! I also feel a bit of shame for taking the minimum number of units this semester and not any more (12), but I hope that I can manage my time and fill it up with opportunities to get to know new people and better situate myself in Berkeley.

After, I had lunch and I got my free Berkeley Engineering T-Shirt. It's so awesome! However, I wish I got in line again and got more free merch, because that's what a lot of other people did.

Then, I went to my department head meeting for EECS. It was a cool meeting that reviewed the ins and outs of the EECS program that I didn't know before, as well as more resources.

Once I went back to my dorm and ate a snack, I fell into a deep sleep until 8-ish, when I woke up. I scrolled around for a little bit before realizing that the dinings halls would be closing at 9, so I rushed to get out of my dorm.
