Today was alright.
In the morning I had my last writing class. We have a "research party" later but I don't really want to attend. Nonetheless, I hope that if I use the weekend to improve my paper, that the research party (which is online) will prove itself useful.
I decided to skip my discussion today in favor of doing more work. Then, for lunch before work, I went to Brown's and got the chicken thigh with chimichurri sauce, vegetable medley, and the side green salad. I was also craving garlic fries so I got an order of that a la carte. It turned out to be a lot of food; I feel like they gave me a lot more salad than they normally do. Nonetheless, I ate my meal very happily, though I was very, very full afterwards, and I had to rush to work since I spend so much time eating.
Work was disappointingly unproductive. I had so much time on my hands and I didn't really optimize it; I wasn't even distracted by work since there were barely any classes being held.
After work, with the context the line at crossroads was out the door and spanned onto the sidewalk, I went to foothill for dinner. Tonight, there was a "winterfest dinner," so they were serving some really delicious surf and turf food: beef ribs, chicken, poached and chilled salmon, shrimp, and crab legs. It was truly a meal worth gorging, and I saw some people make the smart decision to grab several plates before chowing down. Unfortunately, I only grabbed one plate and started eating. It was still really good, though I regret getting chicken instead of more beef, and not getting more shrimp. I think I spent too much time cracking open the crab legs even though they were really good.
After lunch I trotted back to my dorm to do a bit of locking in. Unfortunately I got pretty distracted by Outdoor Boys videos, but I'll have to stay up late to finish all of the work I wanted to finish earlier in the day.
Thanks for reading,
Issac
