July 4th: Fireworks Party!

Today was great.

At the moment I got out of bed, I began washing my entire house. Vacuuming the dust where people don't regularly see to the dust that doesn't see the light, and organizing the tables and posting paper signs throughout my house, my home, after a tiring morning and afternoon, became very clean, which I am very proud about.

Then, my friends began coming into my house. It was actually a bit unexpected; I was still in my "janitor" fit. In the mean time, while waiting for dinner, we played Wii. Soon, almost everyone had arrived and we began dinner. My father brought some party trays from work. I think I could've made better food selections, though.

When nightfall began, we finished dinner and began taking the fireworks out. Unfortunately, one of the grander fireworks were confiscated by a police officer passing by, but we managed to celebrate through the rest of the night. It was really fun lighting up fireworks and seeing them crackle, pop, and spray so many lights. Despite losing one of the larger fireworks, we still had a good variety left. We took all of the safe measures as well, with a fire extinguisher, buckets of water, and watering the lawn.

I had a lot of food after the party still, but I'm glad some were able to take food home. Today was a really, really nice day that I was able to spend cleaning up my home and enjoying some time and celebrating with friends.
