Today was so awesome.
In the morning, my father and I picked up someone very special to me. After arriving to my work, the restaurant, it was very busy, so my dad had to get back to work. In the meantime, while we waited for lunch, I realized I forgot to bring slippers, so we went to the TJ Maxx nearby to get some slippers.
Lunch was a Papa John's pizza and some tofu flower. The pizza was very hot and the tofu flower was a new, interesting experience. When we were finished with lunch, we arrived to the water park, The Dublin Wave. It was so hot! Fortunately, we would be entering the water soon.
After applying sunscreen, we decided to go to the pool first. It was the deepest pool I've ever been in, 7 feet! I did manage to touch the bottom after some trial and error. We didn't do too much, but I did manage to float for a little bit. I'm not the best at swimming (possibly the worst, actually), but I still had some fun in the water.
Then, we decided to try the water slides. We found that the orange one was the most fun, the fastest, with the best turns, the light blue one to be fast as well but with just turns, and the teal one to be the slower one that was the least fun. The lines for the water slides were long, and we didn't end up going to the water slides that were on the higher deck.
After we finished up our fun in the water park, we went to Teaspoon nearby for tea. I got the Pineapple Shine, which was surprisingly really good and refreshing. Unfortunately, it didn't come with any ice, so in the hot day it warmed up quickly, but I really liked the toppings inside of it.
Then, after doing a bit of shopping at Five Below, we watched The Materialists. While it was advertised as a rom com, we didn't find it very funny. It was a story told though, and interesting story. It applies its own statement of love, which is hard to understand, but it's prevalently expressed as it's told throughout the film.
After the film, we went to Lazy Dog Bar & Grill. Of course, we didn't go to the bar. She had a cheeseburger, while I had the Campfire Pot Roast. It had been a long time since I ate mashed potatoes or spinach or really tender beef so it was a very pleasant meal.
Today was a really nice adventure.
