Today was one of the best days of all time.
Unfortunately, I did wake up later than I wanted to, so I couldn't prepare the mentors' gifts properly. Still, I managed to hide the inner contents of their gift bags with tape and paper. Austin then picked me up.
When we arrived, not many people were here; people slowly trickled in as the banquet continued. The first thing we did was sign a bunch of awards. Last night, we ran into an error while exporting the memories video, so we had to remote into our desktops to re-export the video. It took a while, but we ended up getting everything prepared before everyone watched the video!
We also played volleyball on the beach. Unfortunately, we were doing it on wet sand since there wasn't enough dry sand on the beach for us to use, which meant that the poles and stakes didn't stay in the ground and we kept having to readjust the net. The tide was also coming in, so at a certain point, we began playing in the water. After that, some others and I abandoned playing volleyball and got deeper and deeper into the ocean.
When we returned, we watched the video, which gave everyone a laugh. Then, we distributed a bunch of superlatives, gifts, and awards.
After we finished cleaning up, I took public transportation to get back home. We ended up watching the film Final Destination: Bloodlines. The entire film had my really shocked and there was a lot of gore! The ending was also pretty unexpected.
Today was really really good!
