Today was cool!
After classes in the morning that led into the noon, I finished packing and grabbed everything I needed to get from my dorm to get to Cal Hacks 12.0. It took me a little longer than I wanted to leave my dorm, but I got on the bus and onto the bart and managed to make my way there before hacking began by bus. On the way there, I saw a bunch of people from my floor who were also going there to hack.
After arriving, I noticed how absolutely beautiful the Palace of Fine Arts was! It was so majestic, and the palace was so grand and beautiful. The lake next to it was the cherry on top, and there was a lot of nature to savor.
I met up with my team who I had found just this morning: Chandrark and Leo. We were stuck on ideas for a while until we decided to make an app that helped you plan a vacation. We had a decent start and worked for a while. Then, we broke for dinner, which was chicken biryani. We got it a bit later than everyone else, so it was a bit cold. Then, we continued working on our app. We were experiencing problems with getting up to date information. I also had a little bit of homework due at midnight, so I had to take a small break from developing.
At midnight, there was a midnight run. Someone special to me and I started on the run and then we went and savored the view of the beach. We considered going into the lake as a midnight plunge, but we didn't bring any beach attire, so we would've been quite dirty after.
Then, Chandrark and I continued coding since Leo had left earlier for his birthday. Happy birthday, Leo!
The night continues into the next blog post.
