Blogs haven't been updated in a while due to midterms 😢; will (hopefully) update everything by end of April!
Today was awesome.
This year, I had someone so lovely be my Valentine.
I managed to wake up in time, got ready, and arrived to my girlfriend's house with flowers and gifts in hand. Seeing her so pretty fills me with joy.
We left for Paradiso, in San Leandro for lunch. It was a pretty fancy restaurant with the sun shining through the windows. For the appetizer, we got the clam chowder, which was very flavorful and filled with goodies. For our mains, my girlfriend got the avocado toast, while I got the shrimp and crab omlette. It was so so delicious, flavorful, and fresh, but I couldn't muster the strength to eat any more.
We took public transit back to my dorm in Berkeley, becuase I had a giant LOVE lego set waiting for us to build! We watched the Netflix show BEEF together while building it. It took us a long time, but we managed to finish it before our dinner reservation.
Once we arrived to Revival Bar + Kitchen, we got sat. The interior was quite dark, but they had a lot of decor. Of course, on Valentine's day, they were really busy, so I understood that it was going to take a while for the service and our food. We got some mocktails to drink as we were waiting, and I got to appreciate how much I love my girlfriend as well. It was a four course dinner, each of us with our own dishes. I got Deviled Eggs for my starter, a Shrimp Timbale Salad, Duck L'orange as my main, and a Chocolate Mousse Cake for dessert. The food was fantastic, though the Deviled Eggs never came. I really miss the dressing from the Shrimp Timbale salad, it was savory and tangy, and the shrimp was a great inclusion. The duck was so tender, and the chocolate flavor really came out in the cake.
What a great day to spend with someone so special to me.
