Today was nice!
Despite going to bed late last night, I managed to wake up early enough in the morning to get back to my high school and watch the kickoff with my former teammates.
After watching the kickoff, the others brainstormed, and some of my former teammates came to join me to support the team for kickoff as well. There weren't too many students here for kickoff, which was a bit disappointing, but we still tried helping when we could. The game seemed interesting: there was an obvious terrain element that would pose a design choice for teams, but I don't think it was enough to warrant complete destruction of swerve drive. I still would've preferred designing for this game rather than for Reefscape, though.
Though I would've liked to help the team out more, we had a really good time reconnecting. It was like we never split up. It was also nice seeing our former mentors.
For lunch, we went to Tao's Fresh and got some yum yum. I got a beef udon. For some reason, earlier this morning, my jaw was hurting a bit; and though it subsided for a little while, it came back when I was eating my food. Fortunately, I was able to finish my meal.
When we came back, we didn't really help out the team much; they seemed to be absorbed in designing and considering strategies. When the meeting ended, we continued hanging out outside for a little while like old times. Finally, we split off. Someone special and I went to buy stuff at Target, and after we left, I got pretty sleepy.
What a fun day!
