Today was really nice!
I got up a bit earlier in the morning so I could meet up with someone special. After meeting up, we boarded the BART to make it to San Francisco. There, we got a little breakfast from Paris Baguette. I got a matcha latte (I have to stop getting those) and a pain au chocolat. The pain au chocolat wasn't the freshest, but to be fair we got there at around 11; still, I enjoyed the chocolate pastry.
Then, we took a Muni to get to inner sunset. There, we walked around and entered a nice bookstore. After browsing around, we walked into Golden Gate Park. I really liked the nature and vast grass and trees at the park, even though the weather was of typical SF: cloudy.
We made our way into the California Academy of Sciences. I was disappointed to not be able to snag any major discounts like the EBT discount or the library card discount, but I still managed to save a couple bucks on the public transit discount, which I appreciated.
Stepping into the California Academy of Sciences, I was greeted by a giant dinosaur skeleton, which was magnificent! We awed at it for a little bit before deciding to enter the Kimball Natural History Museum; it was really cool to see the evolution of humans, as well as the displays of creatures they had. Afterwards, we looked around the color of life and saw interesting insights about animals.
Then, we chose to enter the aquarium, where we got to see so many cool creatures: shrimp, octopus, various fish, and rays. We also got to see some rainforest animals, like poisonous scorpions and iguanas. We really liked looking at all of the sealife!
After visiting the aquarium, we got some snacks and made our way to get in line for the Osher Rainforest exhibit. By the time we entered, we finished the snacks. Making our way up, we saw so many butterflies flying around us, parrots, ants, other birds, and other rainforest creatures. Our time climbing up the rainforest was really enjoyable; it was also pretty hot in there!
Finally, after we made it out of the rainforest, we sat out and relaxed for a little bit before deciding to get some food. Exiting the California Academy of Sciences, it was raining pretty hard. Sharing an umbrella, someone special to me and I stopped by a shop (The Kira Shop) so while she bought some miffy merch, I searched for a place for us to dine.
We ended up deciding to get Korean food from Manna. The table was pretty small, but we were greeted with kindness, our own water pitcher, and some banchan. We made our selection: Japchae and Tofu-Jjigae with Beef. After a small wait, our food came out and we began dining. With the poor weather, the Tofu-Jjigae was really comforting. the Japchae had an extremeley delicious flavor that lingered in my mouth that I still miss as I write this blog. The service was pretty fast and the food was delicious, so I really recommend coming here for some authentic and yummy Korean food!
After our meal, we got a little bit of dessert from Easy Breezy Frozen Yogurt. We were already really stuffed, so I wouldn't say that this was the correct choice we should've made, but I still liked the frozen yogurt.
Then, we made it back to my home, where we hung out for a bit until someone special to me had to leave.
What an eventful day!
