Today was nice.
My grandma wanted to get someone special to me and I to go with her to Chinatown to help her carry goose wings. We woke up pretty early and met up at Bayfair station.
Once we arrived in Powell, we took the T Muni line to reach Rose Pak (Chinatown Station.) It had been a while since my grandma had been to San Francisco, and it was her first time taking a Muni as well! Hence, it was all a really cool experience for all of us, since none of us had ridden the T line either to Rose Pak. The station is really beautiful!
Then, after my grandma wandered other shops, she went to the restaurant to secure the goose wings. Then, we went to get lunch, since we were all hungry.
Unfortunately, I shouldn't have listened to my grandma's suggestion of going to the Golden Flower Vietnamese Restaurant. My family, when they first immigrated from China to the US in San Francisco, frequented this restaurant. However, our experience this time was very, very subpar, and very disappointing. I should've known to avoid the restaurant upon seeing the dark vibe and barely anyone eating at the restaurant. The service wasn't very existent. We ordered shrimp rolls, and I ordered a large beef pho. The shrimp rolls weren't bad, but were mostly filled with rice noodle. Eating the pho, there was barely any beef; much less than other locations. There was also way too much noodle for the food that was in the bowl. It started becoming mealy and not enjoyable. I couldn't finish it because at that point, it wasn't tasty.
After paying the check we left without packing anything back. Then, we took the Muni and BART back home.
At home, someone special to me and I continued watching Beef, on Netflix. It is a really entertaining show. We lounged around for a while until dinner, which had goose wings as a part of it!
